    Moody Media Room Makeover.

So we took our boring family room and turned it into an amazing media room. We hardly spent anytime in there. We really needed a change. We started with choosing a moody paint color. Benjamin Moore Forged Steel was the winner! That color set the vibe for the entire room. We then added a gallery wall for interest. I also added a light above the gallery wall using the light hack trick. It worked amazing and was so easy. I then added two sconce lights on either side of where the TV will be and did the light hack there as well. It makes for great ambience to the room.

    Tara’s Personal Favorite Recipes

Breakfast I always have told my kids if the house should ever burn down to grab this recipe on the way out! It is sacred. Homemade gravy is the best with it in my opinion. Honey is a close second. Either way, enjoy!

Dolphins frolic in the ocean near the lighthouse almost daily. So you are sure to spot them at some point in your day. They might even put on a show and jump out of water. This is one of Vice President Mike Pence’s favorite vacation spots. If you are a doughnut lover, go to Jerry’s market and pick up some freshly made Key Lime doughnuts! Cranberry Orange Muffins

Cranberry Orange Muffins Muffins are a quick and easy breakfast on days that you are on the go. These Cranberry Orange muffins are delicious with a touch of sugar sprinkled on top. They always remind me of Fall but you could make them anytime. They are beautiful in a glass pedestal and complimented by vanilla yogurt for breakfast. Also a tip I found is to use fresh squeezed orange juice if possible. Makes them even better!

    California’s Ronald Reagan’s Presidential Library

Simi Valley, CA My husband and I visited the Presidential Library of the 40th President of the United States, Ronald Reagan in Simi Valley CA. Reagan’s Presidential Library is a place where many hours can be lost reflecting on his career and history. Seeing this was on my husbands bucket list. It truly was a beautiful and restful place. The vistas overlooking the desert are breath taking. We spent hours quietly looking through memorabilia from his and Nancy’s lives together. Nancy’s outfit worn to the inauguration is incased in glass. Pictures of some of his movies that he starred in were there. Walking around outside over looking the country side…

    About me

Hi, I am Tara, I have always loved to design and decorate since I can remember. Way back, playing with Barbie dolls I remember taking record albums and stacking them to make levels and layers of a imaginary Barbie house. Then I would take wood blocks and pretend to make a headboard and a bed. My Mom and I would save up green stamps and I would lick and lick until I had so many books filled so that I could get a new comforter for my bed, curtains or a new lamp for my bedroom. I even remember my Mom letting me move my furniture around the room however…
