About me

Hi, I am Tara, I have always loved to design and decorate since I can remember.

Way back, playing with Barbie dolls I remember taking record albums and stacking them to make levels and layers of a imaginary Barbie house. Then I would take wood blocks and pretend to make a headboard and a bed. My Mom and I would save up green stamps and I would lick and lick until I had so many books filled so that I could get a new comforter for my bed, curtains or a new lamp for my bedroom.

I even remember my Mom letting me move my furniture around the room however I wanted. I think she just gave up on me to be honest! She knew I was gonna move my bed regardless.

I also would sneak into my older sister’s closet and cut all of her Barbie’s bangs and pierce their ears with straight pins. So as you can probably tell, I am a creative person and have always loved decorating, make up, hair and beauty at a very early age.

I am married to the most amazing guy who treats me like a queen. He is almost always on board with whatever crazy project that I come up with next. We always seem to learn from whatever it is that we are doing along the way which makes it even more fun.

We just moved into our hacienda dream house that needs a little updating. It has the most beautiful bones and so much potential to make it our beautiful modern farmhouse. We are all over the house doing this and that. My plan is to try to zero in on one room at a time. Post it on the blog so you guys can follow along with us for the transformation!

I also plan to post beauty tips from time to time since I do own a beauty salon and happen to love hair and beauty as well. Thanks for being here and taking the time to follow along. Now lets go have some fun and make something pretty!
