Hi, I am Tara and I have always loved to design and decorate since I can remember.

Way, way back around the age of 6 playing with Barbie dolls I remember taking record albums and stacking them to make levels for my imaginary Barbie house. Wood blocks would make a headboard and a bed.

My Mom would save up green stamps and I would spend hours licking to fill a book so that I could go get a new comforter for my bed, curtains and a lamp.

Memories of my Mom letting me move my furniture around the room as many times as I wanted (which was often by the way) are cherished. I think she gave up on me to be honest.

Sometimes I would sneak into my older Sister’s closet and cut all her Barbies bangs. Then pierce their ears with straight pins with a ball on the end so that they could have earrings. I would also often get my Mom’s Polaroid camera and take pics of my pets and my room.

I also am a hair stylist.

So I am telling you all of this so that you understand that I have to be creative to breathe. It is just who I am. I couldn’t help it if I tried.

I am married to the most amazing guy in the world. He treats me like a queen. John is almost always on board with whatever crazy project that I come up with next and we always seem to learn something from whatever it is that we are doing. We do have lots of fun together.

We just moved into our hacienda dream house. It needs a little updating but has the most beautiful bones and so much potential. My plan is to zero in on one project at a time and post on the blog so you guys can follow along with us for the transformation!
